my story

Before partaking in my healing journey, I felt anxious, lost and unsure of myself and who I was. Engaging in holistic healing practices and psychotherapy allowed me to re-discover my authentic self, re-connect with the different parts of me and learn to love and trust myself.

Like many, I was born a curious and playful soul. I spent countless hours as a child being, connecting and playing with the world around me. I had a zest for learning driven by self-discovery and the desire to understand the world and my place in it.

As I got older and responsibilities and expectations of me grew, the act of being, connecting, and playing seemed to become a distant memory. I began to feel anxious, and lost, not knowing who I was authentically. I became a people pleaser, experienced self-doubt, found myself in harmful relationship dynamics, and was initiated into grief. Additionally, I became entrenched in our capitalistic patriarchal society's expectations of “success” and what it meant to be successful, leading to perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and burnout. I felt disconnected from myself and the world around me.

Over time it became increasingly clear that there was more to life than my current experience. I began to be curious about spirituality and healing and our connection to the universe. I began learning and taking part in different spiritual and holistic practices as well as therapy. I found myself slowly coming back to being, connecting and playing with the world around me like my younger self did. Inspired by this I decided to go back to school to become a psychotherapist and support others on their path of healing. Through my healing journey, I have come to embrace presence and mindfulness which has allowed for the discovery of deep self-knowledge and purpose. Connecting with nature, community, and the divine has allowed me to experience being held, and to know deep love. By reconnecting with play, and engaging in ritual, and ceremony, I’ve discovered profound healing, and it has rekindled long-forgotten gifts. This journey has allowed me to better navigate the deep transformations that were divinely intended for me that I have faced and will continue to face in the future.

Today, I continue to integrate learnings from my healing journey with formal training and apply them in my work as a psychotherapist and healing guide, fostering ongoing learning and growth. In my work with you, I hope to support you in your unique exploration of being, connecting and playing so that you too might feel more fulfilled, more connected to your authentic self and the collective, and feel more grounded through your transformational journeys. I am honoured to walk this path alongside you.
